Welcome to the British Conference of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine 2008.
(Hosted by the British Acupuncture Council)

The BAcC conference is in its thirteenth year and is set to be bigger and bolder than ever before. It's not just the venue and title which have changed. After members have had priority booking for the first four weeks we will open our doors to non-members.

Why? The BAcC is a strong and expanding organisation. By playing host to the wider acupuncture community we are demonstrating our firm standing in the world of oriental medicine and our hope for this event is to bear witness to a new platform and a wider sharing of knowledge and skills. This is set to be a unique and inspirational occasion that we hope will leave you wanting more...

Founders Building, RHUL

With the possibility of credit card payment by phone and a venue that is only 20 minutes from Europe's largest transport hub, adjacent to the M4 motorway and 10 minutes from the M25... it couldn't be easier! The Royal Holloway, University of London (RHUL) is a grand historic building dating back to 1886 and boasts state-of-the-art conference facilities.

You will find a long list of authors and lecturers, specialists in their fields, in this year's line-up. In total, we hope that the programme will offer you insights into the 'cutting edge', a chance to witness the unfolding of new research, new ideas, and new styles of practice - challenging the old and scrutinising the new!

Building on a 13-year commitment to excellence (the BAcC was formed in 1995) this conference, the first British Conference of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, carries all the hallmarks of quality and assurance for which we are known and to which our members have subscribed since the Council was formed.

The time is right for a new and bold BAcC departure.

We look forward to welcoming you!
