Syndrome differentiation is commonly accepted as the essence of Chinese medicine and is adopted throughout China in mainstream medical treatment. This talk will explain how acupuncture points are selected according to syndrome differentiation and will also present the results of acupuncture research work conducted both in China and internationally.
