Ron Bishop and Philip Rose-Neil

An assembly of ancestors: how the BAcC came together

Ron Bishop and Philip Rose-Neil

As the past informs the present and the future, it is important for us as acupuncturists to remember our antecedents and evaluate our modern history. This presentation will look back at the history of acupuncture as a profession in this country with particular emphasis on and reference to the formation of the British Acupuncture Council in 1995.

Ron Bishop is a graduate of the College of Traditional Acupuncture. He was a founder member and for six years was president of the British Acupuncture Council.

Philip Rose-Neil is a graduate of the College of Traditional Acupuncture. He has addressed the United Nations as a UK representative for health and is interested in the history and development of acupuncture in the UK and the development of acupuncture in the third world.
