Sleep disturbance has become an ever-increasing complaint in our modern world, affecting almost 40 per cent of the population including a disturbingly large number of children. This session will discuss the physiology and pathology of sleep in both Chinese and western medicine, giving a classical overview of insomnia in relation to wei qi, blood and shen. It will also provide practical therapeutic protocols.
