Membership of the BAcC is dependent upon your training, experience and country of residence. See the table below for a brief overview, and the menu on the left contains further information.
anyone graduating from teaching institutions accredited by the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board (BAAB)
practitioners trained elsewhere who have satisfied the BAcC, through written application and interview, that they have a level of training and competence equivalent to graduates of BAAB accredited institutions.
practitioners living and practising outside the UK who want to stay informed about the profession and continue to receive all the information that full UK BAcC members receive.
This category can be offered as an interim measure to those applicants who are not yet eligible for Full UK Membership but whose eligibility is dependent on very specific additional requirements. These requirements are made by the Admissions interviewers or covered by the admissions policy in order for the applicant to achieve parity of training and standards with that currently taught in BAAB Accredited Institutions, in line with the BAcC Guidelines for Acupuncture Education.
