Safe Practice Officer

£33,000 - £35,000 per annum pro rata

Permanent, part-time (2 days per week)


The BAcC is looking for a new Safe Practice Officer to join our team based in West London. The Safe Practice Officer is responsible for ensuring that BAcC members are aware of, understand, and adhere to the Code of Safe Practice. They provide members with clinical guidance on the safe practice of acupuncture and adjunct therapies, including providing confidential advice and support in relation to suspected adverse incidents.


As the Safe Practice Officer needs to have hands on experience of a range of adverse incidents and a depth of practical knowledge, we are seeking a practicing acupuncturist with 7+ years’ experience and a traditional acupuncture qualification. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and customer service skills and an approachable personality, as they will need to quickly engender trust with our members and provide a responsive and supportive service to meet their needs.

The successful post holder will either be a current member of the BAcC or be willing to become a member (subsidised membership is available for this).
